Ara Macao opens the doors of its first store on May 26, 2005 in an intimate square in the historic center close to the promenade of Albisola Superiore.
The great artisan experience started with the grandmother back in 1972 in the historic Ambra café, and handed down for three generations, has led to the evolution of the ingredients processing processes and their transformation, allowing us to offer a different Gelato: not the usual anonymous cold and sweet product, standard in quality, but a creative product resulting from our imagination and experience.
We choose the best tasteless ingredients and balance them in balance with the noblest raw materials to create a high quality ice cream that doesn't melt quickly and doesn't drip.
On March 19, 2014 we inaugurate our second store with a different concept and on July 3, 2019 we open with a completely new format that expands our offer beyond the simple walking ice cream.
Today we represent with our stores a quality brand recognized not only locally but also in Italy and abroad thanks to the many certificates and awards received by participating in numerous competitions
But, we don't want to stop here… We still want to grow and amaze you… and of course we want ice cream. And you?
