The Book of Revelation consists of 22 chapters which contain words of encouragements, giving hope to the Christians during its age and the next ages to come about the return of the Lord Jesus Christ, the setting up of God’s Kingdom and the victory of good over evil. It also contains warning about the Final Judgement for those who are rebellious and wicked, and what would take place to them
Here are the chapters of the Book of Revelation:
• Chapter 1 – The introduction of the Book of Revelation and John describing how he has received the vision addressed to the seven churches in the province of Asia.
• Chapter 2 to 3 – Contains the specific letters to each Church in Asia, namely the Church in Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea. The letters contained specific messages to each Church revealing their works, God’s promises to them, and warnings to some.
• Chapter 4 to 20 – Apostle John’s vision of events taking place in heaven and in the spiritual realm such as the worshipping and praising of living beings and angels to our God. He also saw visions of Jesus Christ as the slaughtered Lamb who is the only One found worthy of opening the scroll with seven seals; of beasts coming out of the earth and sea; the 7 angels with 7 golden bowls of plagues; and various events from destructions, harvest, judgement upon the earth; the anti-Christ, Satan, and their destiny of doom in hell (along with the false prophets) after a thousand years after the reign of Jesus Christ.
• Chapter 21 to 22 – the last two final chapters of the book of Revelation, John described his visions of new heaven and new earth located in the holy city of New Jerusalem. And the people who are able to enter are those written in the book of life. In this place, there will be no more tears, pain, sadness, sickness, etc. The book ends with the message of Jesus Christ to everyone who believes in Him and in the prophecy that He is coming soon.
