Participants in this program receive a Consumers Energy Smart Home kit packed with easy-to-install smart devices like plugs and occupancy sensors. Downloading the Consumers Energy Smart Home app is the first step in getting your smart home up and running.
The Consumers Energy Smart Home app guides you through the process of setting up your new smart home technology and helps you seamlessly manage your new smart devices in one place. Through the app, you can:
Monitor and control lighting, home appliances, thermostats and other devices remotely using your smartphone, tablet or computer.
Save energy by setting up automated smart home rules tailored to your family’s specific energy needs.
Protect the planet and help Michigan prosper through less energy waste and reduced power grid demand.
Enrollment in this pilot is determined by a screening process and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
