Enterprise Browser is a powerful, industrial browser that provides everything needed to quickly build Android apps for barcode scanning, signature capture, printing and most other enterprise applications for supported Zebra devices using HTML5 and CSS3 for presentation and JavaScript to access APIs for scanners, cameras and other device peripherals. The environment leverages the standard Android Webkit and includes a device runtime that's configured by a human-readable XML file that allows manual input for control over most app settings and runtime behaviors, including start page, passwords and authentication, audio and text-to-speech settings, screen rotation, kiosk mode, key remapping and much more.
Enterprise Browser includes an installation package with a Config.xml file designed for organizations that are running SAP ITS mobile app(s) on Zebra Android devices. When migrating SAP apps from Windows Mobile/CE to Android, the most common problems relate to page-fitting and the absence of hardware function keys.
