It is the year 2079. Unbeknownst to the inhabitants of Earth, an intergalactic tournament is coming that will ultimately decide the fate of the planet and all living creatures on it.
Approximately every 10 terrestrial years, the Xalarian War Games move to a new planet inhabited by intelligent life. The Xalarians, all-powerful and merciful observers and orchestrators, began this tournament as a way to civilize the process of intergalactic warfare. They do not participate themselves, instead they see themselves as nobility that are above the pettiness and necessity for interplanetary conflict.
