Hi! I’m Ellie. I’m nearly 3. It’s been about a year since I told you about my mum’s nutty obsession with mealtimes. Today it got worse! AND it involved a police man, princess Elsa (three times) and lots of blocks.Today we headed out to Kids Build Together in Richmond. Mum met Carolyn, the mummy owner of this “block shop” at one of her vegetable classes. We had a really great time playing with the two new friends, all the blocks and my little sister, Verity. I built a princess Elsa castle, ice cream cones, Winnie the Pooh tree house and an air plane. Mum loved watching us build blocks and make up stories about them. It was great to have her there watching us. We played much longer than mummy planned. As time got closer to lunch, she decided that we should go and find a shady seat to eat. Mum always makes a point of trying to sit with us to eat our lunch. We enjoyed eating our tomatoes and scones. Verity laughed alot and I liked chatting all about the “block shop”.Then, I saw a little girl with a box of princess Elsa tissues. Mum said we could go into the shop and look for a box for me. I found the tissues by myself! BUT there were no princess Elsa boxes left. So, mum let me choose a piece of fruit to eat instead. That was fun.Mum started to cry when we got in the car. She told me that the policeman had come to the car and left her a note to say she had to pay them lots of money for leaving the car for 20 minutes too long. I said “It’s Ok, Mum. I proud of you” and then I sang my favourite song – “Let it go!” by princess Elsa. Mum started to smile. She said to me that she loved me too, she was very proud of me too and the money didn’t matter when we had so much fun at “the block shop” and got to eat lunch together.Maybe if mummy didn’t like eating lunch with us so much, the policeman wouldn’t have given her that naughty note. BUT I am glad she is nutty about mealtimes and eating together. Here is the recipe for some biscuits that we made and ate together the other day. I loved them so much!
