Time to set aside your phone and focus on what is happening in real life!
Set aside time away from your phone and focus on the activities that you are doing in real life.
You simply start a "game" and pledge time to not use your phone. Every time you use your phone, the app tracks that and inform everyone who is in the game. At the end of the "game" (whenever the host wants to stop the round), everyone gets to see the number of times each player has left the app and the amount of time they have actually been away from the app.
You can set penalties for yourself or the group. For example, every 10 seconds away from the app (i.e. using the phone for other things) will incur a penalty of $1. At the end of the round, the app calculates the amount of penalties each player has been penalised and they will have to fork out that money (or perform the penalty) to reduce the group's total bill!
Time for Reality is an app for all and works best in group activities (individuals can use it by themselves too). The idea is simple, pledge time away from your phone and start focusing on whatever you are doing in real life.
Other use cases:
Parents: You can use this with your children during times whereby you want them to not use their phone. For example, studying and revision time, homework time etc. Simply create a game and make them join with their phones. You can now then see how many times and how long your kids have been using their phones!
