Ting helps prevent electrical fires to keep your home and family safe.
The Ting Sensor is required to install the sensor and activate your Ting service (however, after installing, the app never communicates directly with your sensor). After installation, the app keeps you in the know 24x7.
If an electrical fire hazard is detected, the Ting Fire Safety team will contact you and guide you through identifying and mitigating the hazard. Some Ting-identified hazards stem from failing or faulty devices or appliances that simply need to be removed from service / replaced. Others stem from dangerous power supplied to the home by the local electric utility service provider. Still, other hazards develop in wiring, connections, or other electrical infrastructure throughout the house; when this type of hazard is suspected, the Ting Fire Safety Team – with your approval – coordinates a licensed electrician to visit your home to isolate and fix the hazard. Ting includes a lifetime credit of up to $1,000 to cover labor costs of such a repair - see Ting's Service Terms for details.
