Fill out and submit any forms with airSlate by your Android tablet or smartphone
This app allows users to complete a specific tax form right from their mobile device. The app is free of charge. It consists of only the blank that can be submitted to the Internal Revenue Service. There are similar applications intended for various eforms.
Form 1098 or the Mortgage Interest Statement has to be filed by those taxpayers whose mortgage interest exceeds $600. Each mortgage received requires a separate blank. It has to be furnished with the Form 1096 - Annual Summary and Transmittal U.S. Information Returns.
Once you’ve uploaded the tax management app and opened it, it will ask you to select a version of the eform and then to hit the orange Fill Now button. You also can go to airSlate’s library and search for more forms. The fillable 1098 contains six pages, three of which are copies of the same blank intended for different recipients. The other three pages are detailed instructions on how to fill out digital form 1098. You can view them by tapping on the Pages icon in the lower left corner.
Be very attentive when filing Copy A. You may be required to print it out on a specific IRS blank. Before completing and submitting it, you have to find out about the official requirements regarding this copy. You are free to fill out and distribute Copy B to the borrower and Copy C for the lender’s records.
All copies contain fillable text fields. Those marked with red asterisks are required for filling out. You can check them with the help of the Wizard tools, all of which are listed and labeled. If you tap on a particular field in the list, Wizard will take you directly to that line. An active field will be white framed with green, unlike the red ones.
You can use the editing tools to add text, check marks, graphical and media objects as well as highlight, erase and blackout text. Leave a comment for the recipient by pinning a sticky note.
Once you’ve completed the document, you can share it via email or print it out. If you need to report more mortgages, you are free to start over and fill out as many 1098 forms as necessary.
