Monotag is an experimental application which can mainly recognize products.
Monotag is an experimental application which was developed by Yahoo! JAPAN Research using our image recognition technology. Please note that monotag service might stop without preliminary notification because it is just an experimental application.
If you take a picture of what you want to know using monotag, monotag tells you what it is. Currently monotag can recognize books, CDs, DVDs and food/beverage packages. Please note that these products are Japanese. Even if monotag cannot recognize the object, you can register the object to monotag. Then, monotag can recognize the object. Since the object which you registered are shared among monotag users, if everyone registers a few objects, monotag will be able to recognize most objects around you. Moreover monotag can track the object with a decoration image, when you turn on the decoration mode. Please enjoy it!
