On WhatsApp, users have a few options when it comes to text formatting options. There is bold, italics, monospace, and strikethrough. Those are pretty much the basic options that you can expect, but if you’re looking for more, then you’re in luck.
According to a recent report from WABetaInfo, they have uncovered additional formatting options that WhatsApp is working on in the latest beta of the app. This includes the option to create a code block, a quote block, and also create a bulleted list.
These new options can be handy for certain users. For example, developers who might be sharing code with each other over text message can use the code block to make their code easier to identify. With the quote block feature, users can also now select specific parts of a message to quote instead of the entire message.
As for the bulleted list, this will make formatting lists a lot easier compared to the current method where users need to add the bullet points manually, which not everyone might be familiar with. These new features aren’t live yet, but seeing as how they were spotted in the latest beta, hopefully their release isn’t too far off.
